Mount Meng is situated on the north.Guimeng(Turtle-Shaped)Peak,its highest peak is 1,156 meters above sea level,being the second highest peak in Shandong.Mount Meng has been named"Second to Mount Tai and Mount Dongmeng" from the ancient times.It is a provincial level scenic spot and national forest park.Mount Meng's forest coverage is 85%.Its atmosphere contains 2.2 million negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter.It has therefore been called 'Natural oxygen Bar","Forest Bathing Place" and oriental longevity tourist resort.The Giant Statue of God of Longevity on Mount Meng is 218 m high,being the largest in the world.there are in Pingyi such major scenic spots as the big Depression,the Mingguang Temple,the Five-Dragon Lake,jiujianpeng xiaozi Hill and so on,which feature different scenery. |
